We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to work at **The Sands Care Home, Morecambe **on a bank basis. As a Domestic you will carry out the cleaning. This will involve routine cleaning which needs to be done on a daily or weekly basis as well as emergencies such as spills. You will also carry out regular planned deep cleaning on a monthly basis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Carry out all cleaning duties to the required company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the home.
- Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the homes manager.
- To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
- To comply with COSHH regulations.
- To adhere to infection prevention policies at all times.
- To ensure the correct use of PPE.
- To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home.
- Carry out other adhoc duties as requested by the home manager / deputy.
- To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
- To ensure trolleys are restocked at the end of each shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy

Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. You will receive an induction covering all the basic requirements for your role, as well as on the job support from colleagues and your line manager.

Hours: as and when required across 7 days from 8am - 2pm.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
