Nursery Apprentice

Little Lancing is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Nursery Apprentice to join the team.

**Duties will include**:

- Contributing to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children and the Early Years Framework.
- Building strong working relationships with parents and family members, alongside management and other colleagues.
- Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery and assisting in ensuring the nursery is clean and safe at all times.
- Being committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery as well as in your direct care.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Have experience with children ages 0-5 years old.
- Flexibility with start and finish times.
- Team player who is enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to a career within childcare.
- Ability to use initiative as part of a team.
- Values and respects the views and needs of children.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Resilience with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Committed to a continuous personal and professional development.
- Working towards Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Basic knowledge of EYFS.
- Preferably have an up to date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certificate.
- Have a basic knowledge of the EYFS.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be flexible with start and finishing times.
- Be a team-player who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed to a career within childcare.
