The Stroke Rehab Ward is a 20 bedded facility designed for stroke rehab patients. The unit is responsible for the assessment of patients that present with stroke and neurology symptoms and currently needing further therapy. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses providing cares to rehab stroke patients.

The post holder will be supported in their professional development and will have the opportunity to develop within the role. In a near future we will be developing a training programme that might give you the opportunity to become a band 3 rehab Nursing Assistant

They will be part of the ward based team and be supported with relevant training needs. The role will cover day shifts and will include some night shifts and weekends on a rota basis.

Good team work and communication skills are essential. Individuals should be flexible and be able to demonstrate they are an excellent role model with the ability to develop excellent interpersonal relationships.

You’ll then be supported to access relevant modules from the clinical skills programme to support your progression to a Band 3 post on completion.
