Training Coordinator

Carers Trust Heart of England’s core aim is to support unpaid carers and their families by providing the highest possible quality services, information, advice, and support. Supporting unpaid carers to have a life alongside their caring role and to access the support they need.
This role is part of a dynamic and busy team, supporting unpaid carers, their families, and other people with care needs across Coventry and Warwickshire. The purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and manage training packages primarily aimed at carers, care support staff and volunteers. Carer training will focus on increasing confidence in areas such as self-advocacy and knowledge of 2 systems and processes carers are likely to encounter in their caring role. Training will include both face-to-face and digital platforms. The post-holder will build a carer training programme from the ground up with the support of the organisation and multi-skilled team. The post-holder will also ensure with the support of our Regulated Care Manager, that our care support colleagues meet the training standards required for their roles and responsibilities and are compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements including HSE and CQC.
**Main Responsibilities of the Post**:
- To work closely and build good working relationships with key stakeholders to identify training needs.
- Create, design, and develop training packages for carers - both eLearning and face-to-face with the aim of enabling carers to ‘care confidently’.
- Develop training materials and resources for carers e.g. training booklets.
- Deliver training for our care support team, including but not exclusive of Moving and Handling, First Aid and Medication training.
- Deliver training - both online and face-to-face and in groups and one-to-one settings, sometimes in carers own homes.
- Use effective evaluation methods to continually review, re-design and develop training packages.
- Maintain all training materials to ensure that they are current and up to date.
**Communication**
- To be able to facilitate training which considers a range of needs in group settings using effective communication.
- Be able to manage group dynamics.
- To communicate effectively with team members, service leads and external professionals. - To attend and take part in all relevant meetings appropriate for this role.
- To promote our training amongst professional networks to increase the take-up.
- To participate in personal supervision/appraisal with the Deputy CEO (Director of Operations) and attend training as appropriate.
- To liaise with PR and Communications colleagues regarding the development of materials and the external promotions of training.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
