**Junior Estimator**

To support the Commercial team in preparing commercial responses to a variety of customer enquiries.

**Duties**:

- Interpret customer drawings and specifications to understand the requirement relating to an enquiry.
- Utilise MS Excel to compile quotations for electrical tenders for the residential, commercial & Industrial sectors
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and internal buying department to check costings where required.
- Ensure that outgoing quotations meet correct quality standards and profit margin requirements.
- Assist with budgeting for LIVE projects
- Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
- Other administrative duties as appropriate.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications with a basic understanding of construction and preferably electrical installations
- Enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual with good use of initiative.
- Qualifications in Mathematics (GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.
- Computer literate; conversant in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non
- technical clients.
- Strong written and spoken English language skills.
- Competent with the use of web browsing tools for online research purposes.
- Some previous experience of pricing, costing or quoting.

**Hours and environment**
You will be based in our Alderley Edge 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Electrical: 2 years (preferred)
- estimating: 2 years (required)
