Sailmaker/ Canvas Worker

Quay Canvas is a marine based company, that create cushions, covers and sails. Alongside opening doors into garden, automobile and other sectors due to the extensive knowledge of Upholstery and Canvas Work.

**Job description**

We are looking for an experienced sewing machinist, preferably to have worked within the marine, automobile or aviation sectors, however this is not essential.
- Able to use Juki and Singer sewing machines
- Able to set up machines, changing threads with ease and a fully comprehensive understanding of how this is done.
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard, and that finishing of the products created are to the standard of the current produced work.
- Making sure material is not wasted, understanding and suggesting ways to utilise fabrics to minimize wastage.
- Pattern making, cutting and fitting of canvaswork, this will be on marine vessels onshore and afloat.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£18.00 per hour
