**About Transport Planner**
Maximising the utilisation of the ATL Fleet through efficient planning of deliveries and collections as well as maximised utilisation of ATL drivers in line with current driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
To arrange the delivery of the customers’ products on time and in full using the most cost effective means possible and best use of available resources, whilst complying with Transport Legislation and Health & Safety.

Access to own vehicle owing to work base location
Monday - Friday - between 0800 and 1700**Main duties and responsibilities**

- Ensure all processes are adhered to by all the staff.**5**

- Monitor and report daily KPIs to the Senior Transport Planner, identifying areas for improvement complete with proposals for change.- Operational Responsibilities**7**
- Plan all relevant customer deliveries utilising the software available at site to ensure delivery windows are met**8**
- Plan vehicles as close to maximum capacity and time parameters as possible therefore ensuring full efficiency of the vehicles**9**
- Ensure vehicle earnings are greater than vehicle costs to achieve a healthy margin**10**
- Ensure all loads meet safety standards.**11**
- Identifying operational issues and implement opportunities for change.**12**
- Communicate routes to and liaise with other Depots / Sites / Customers**13**
- Source and plan backloads to avoid vehicle empty running.**14**
- Fully understand agreed KPI’s for Department.**15**
- Work within a team of planners and administration staff.**16**
- To support, develop and embrace the development of the ATL customer base and increased business opportunities including, but not limited to the pallet input into the Network.**Person Specification**
