We are looking for a Material Planner.

Based at Larbert to join our highly successful Supply Chain.

This role reports into the Material Manager.

**Requirements**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner to join our successful, international business.

Working with a wide range of suppliers, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials are delivered on time, to an acceptable quality standard and within budget in line with the production schedule. In addition, you will be responsible for managing any exceptions and material shortages and communicating these issues in an accurate and timely manner.

**About You**
- Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline. A recognised Supply Chain or Logistics related professional qualification such as CIPS, APICS would be advantageous, although not essential.
- Your experience will be gained in another similarly complex, fast-moving materials environment.
- You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with colleagues and suppliers. Furthermore, you will have the credibility to manage problem suppliers to find mutually beneficial solutions to problems.
- Analytical by nature, you will be comfortable working with large and often

- A proven self-starter, with excellent time management skills, you will be able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Finally, you should be comfortable and enjoy doing all of this in a deadline
driven, pressurised environment.

**The Role**
- You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all delivery discrepancies are raised and take appropriate action as required. Carry out auditing of Build Partner Goods in Process, ensuring all goods are GRN’d correctly and cycle counts as required.
- You will have a good understanding of utilisation of key MRP master data to optimise inventory levels.
- You will attend daily shortage and production meetings both locally and internationally to enable effective prioritisation of workload and taking the appropriate escalation path if necessary.
- You will take responsibility for close out of delivery and invoicing queries in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy of inventories and timely supplier payments.
- You will monitor overall material availability as well as levels of excess and inactive stock, re-utilise on future contracts or at alternative build sites.
