Cedar have been retained by a scale-up Tech business to support their search of a Head of PMO. This is high-level role part of the senior management team to ensure programs and projects are planned, managed, and governed in a consistent, transparent, anddisciplined manner. The position requires an experienced program management professional with the right mix of relevant experience and skills, an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, anda high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Through effective business partnering you will oversee the needs of projects and programmes to support overall governance and effective performance management. You will be responsible for supporting a common set of best practices, principles and templatesfor managing projects as well as tracking and reporting progress to executive management and shareholders.

Key requirements:

- Working closely with business stakeholders including Network Delivery Teams, Marketing, Finance and Senior Leadership, aligning requirements with each, defining and building business cases and roadmaps.
- Working closely with internal project delivery resources (managing team of 15) to ensure workloads are well managed and delivery expectations are met.
- Planning, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for all projects.
- Directing activities, conducting reviews, using strong technical and business acumen to manage risk and address obstacles to the plan.
- Producing a clear view of expected workload for each project, assess resources needs, understand key deliverables and identify dependencies and possible issues across teams.
- Driving improvements in processes within teams and across the business (to include systems/software).

Key requirements:

- Demonstrable progression across career
- Telecommunications, utilities or construction experience is preferred
- Experience in scaling up a business is highly preferred
- Must be able to deal with ambiguity
