**Working hours**:35 hours per week, 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, occasional weekend and evening work required but notice would be given.

**One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, is looking for a **Community Support Worker to be part of the team at Ilford Corps and Malachi Place**

**Key responsibilities**:

- You will assist with the delivery of community programmes and activities within the Corps such Toddler Group, Coffee Morning, Practical Assistant Appointments and other Corps activities as necessary.
- This is a hands on, people focused role and is a key role within the Ilford Salvation Army. Working alongside both staff and volunteers to ensure the effective delivery of programmes and all community engagement.
- Assist with administration as required and maintain the stock room, manage incoming donations from the community and informing the Corps Officer when supplies were needed.
- Ensure your work is carried out in accordance with both The Salvation Army and any relevant statutory policies and procedures.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel and Word to an advanced level.
- Excellent communication skills and can develop good working relationships with colleagues and the community.
- You will also have an awareness of relevant safeguarding matters.
- An ability to work within The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and key values.
