Quarry Operative

Due to continued growth and investment, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Loading Shovel and Excavator Operator to join our Team at our Longhoughton Quarry on a full time and permanent basis.

As a member of MGL Group, you will be committed to ensuring safe working conditions and adherence with all company principles, procedures, and regulations relevant to your role.

**What we are looking for**
- Must have a valid CPCS card and relevant experience in operating a Loading Shovel and Excavator
- NVQ Level 2 - Plant Operations
- Other relevant CPCS qualifications are advantageous
- Experience in Mobile Plant operations
- A full, clean, UK driving licence is advantageous
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of machines
- Ensure daily maintenance checks and records are completed accurately and meticulous housekeeping standards upheld
- Carrying out routine maintenance checks and identifying maintenance needs and operating errors on plant equipment
- Correctly use and record any defects making sure you report this to specialist maintenance staff
- Changing attachments such as buckets and shovels
- Good Communication skills
- Flexible to allow varied work patterns to meet the needs of the business
- Strong commitment towards safe working practices
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Operate as part of the team, harnessing a working environment which encourages teamwork
- Self-motivated - improvement orientated with a desire to undertake any other relevant training deemed necessary to enhance performance

**About the Job**

Hours of work typically involve Monday to Friday working 07.00 - 17.00 and Saturdays 07.00 -13.00.

Good rates of pay, overtime and benefits offered with immediate start available.
