Are you a
**Warehouse Assistant** looking for that next step into a supervisory role, if so, we have an opportunity for a
**Warehouse Supervisor **to join our team in Merton. You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our Benchmarx development scheme.

Our
**Merton** branch is based on
**Nelson Trading Estate, SW19 3BL**, we are only a 5 minute walk from South Wimbledon underground, and local to the bus service. We are a busy branch with 5 colleagues and 1 delivery vehicle, we have around 20 Trade and Retail customers a day, most we know on a first name basis. Our Branch Manager has created a nice family feel where everyone helps one another and we are focused on customer service, so you will be in safe hands.

We are succession planning, so if you are willing to learn every aspect of how our branches operate, we can continue to support you in your development to progress your career.

**Hours**:

- Monday - Friday 7.30am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays).

**What will I be doing?**
- Applicants must be 18yrs or over, as you will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided.
- People - As Warehouse Supervisor you will lead, motivate and engage a Warehouse Assistant / Driver, ensuring you work together as one. Ensure that succession planning is being used to drive talent sustainability, coach and mentor. Together, you will be processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
- Stay Safe - Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing.
- Customers - Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so its essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
- Operations - Managing the full operation of the warehouse, ensuring that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that warehouse layout is safe, storage is efficient, housekeeping is up to date and customers can find products they might want to buy.
- You will also support our Assistant Branch Manager in stock replenishment, managing dead stock and stock counts.

- Someone that is physically active, this role is located outside and will involve lifting heavy building materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift (Applicants need to be 18 years old to drive the forklift)
