A leading antibody discovery company based in Cambridge are looking for a Research Scientist to join their biotherapeutics team to perform experiments supporting discovery projects for company partners. This is a great opportunity for a recent PhD graduateor an experience research associate looking to take the step up.

As a Scientist you will be working as part of a team to discover the optimal lead panel to meet project goals. You will perform scaffold protein and antibody selection using phage display and perform sequence analysis for antibodies. Lab work will also includethe expression of proteins from E.coli and quality analysis using SDS-PAGE, western blot and chromatography. There will be projects that include general molecular biology work involving antibody binding assays using ELISA. You will also be responsible foraccurately recording, reporting, interpreting data and explaining results to colleagues, ensuring new methods are recorded in SOPs.

Essential requirements for this role:

- Recent PhD graduate or proven experience in industry in a relevant role
- Great organisational skills and communicate proactively
- Experience in protein expression, SDS-PAGE, western blot and chromatography
- Strong experience and understanding of general molecular biology, and ideally experience in phage display
