**Hours of Duty**: 21 hours per week

**Salary**:£11.55 p/h

**Purpose of Job**: To prepare and serve meals to young service users during

Y2K activity times. To ensure food hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.

1.1. To prepare and serve snacks and meals to young people accessing Y2K services.

1.2. To deliver excellent customer service to all young people who attend the sessions.

1.3. To complete an online food shop each week and receive deliveries when required.

1.4. To store all food items safely and in line with food hygiene regulations.

1.5. To complete daily temperature checks of fridge and freezer, keeping a log to record.

1.6. To complete a weekly deep clean of kitchen area and equipment.

1.7. To complete daily pre and post cooking cleaning.

1.8. To complete any relevant training as required.

1.9. To serve tuck shop items to young people and deal with payments.

1.10. To work alongside the youth work team to plan appropriate menus for young people.

1.11. To carry out any other duties as required

**Personal Specification**

CRITERIA ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

1. EDUCATION & TRAININGRecognised elementary food hygiene certificate.

First aid certificate
- 2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Experience of working within a kitchen environment and food preparation
- Experience of working in a customer focused - environmentExperience of working as part of a teamExperience of using computers (basic computer skills)

3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your - own initiative with minimum supervision

Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety - requirements.

4. PERSONAL QUALITIES

- Full, clean driving license and access to own car
