We’re looking for a Head of Function to lead the second line oversight of Technology Resilience Risk across the Group, including a multi-year program of several hundred million of spend on a Tech Action Plan, focusing on Technology Resilience. By 2026 the Group strives to materially improve Technology Resilience, by remediating legacy technology, increasing

Core banking resilience and enabling cloud adoption. The Group also plans to lower complexity and modernise the technology estate by decommissioning legacy apps, adopting Modern Core Platforms and upgrading Channels and APIs.

What you’ll be doing:

- Overseeing key risk remediation programmes, supporting delivery and ensuring that the risk and commercial decisions on prioritisation are made to protect service to our customers, including meeting the ‘Impact Tolerances’ to avoid intolerable harm to customers, markets or the firm
- Embedding the CCOR strategy and vision by modelling behaviours, creating and agreeing stretching performance objectives.
- Leading risk reviews, projects or representing Risk Division in corporate projects with an impact across a whole division or divisions
- Building and maintaining external and internal network to identify industry best practice, facilitating risk reviews - and ensuring, legal, regulatory and professional compliance
- Leading a highly proficient and capable team, developing colleagues through stretching objectives, feedback and coaching
- Calling out to the Tech, Cyber and Data Risk Director, Technology Resilience issues which should be raised to GEC, Board or the Regulator in a timely manner
- Collaboratively making decisions on pooled resource, prioritising technology risk resource allocation to oversight deep dives and reviews
- Maintaining knowledge of the wider Operational Resilience Strategy ensuring that technology risk oversight support this
- Acting as a role model and championing CCOR’s Operational Risk Oversight and Framework strategy to the business and providing high quality oversight of its implementation and execution, e.g. driving ‘Resilience by Design’ concepts where systems and processes are designed by default to be reliable and recoverable

Minimum Experience / Qualifications you'll need to have:
To be seriously considered we would need to see evidence in your CV of the following:

- SME in technology resilience practices that means you can effectively oversight the risk in service delivery to our customers.
- Essential knowledge of cloud architecture and migration from legacy on-premise infrastructure.
- Understanding of technology architecture, including mainframe, private and public cloud - to assess how architectural design choices influence resilience exposure.
