Bristol, United Kingdom EDF Limited Full time

Aztec West, Bristol - with flexibility of working from home, minimum 3 days a week in the office.

Are you an enthusiastic **Project Controller** looking for the next step in your career? Do you hold a degree in **engineering** or **project management**? Do you have excellent **communication** and **stakeholder management** skills? Are you the type of person who likes a fast-paced environment and likes to be **challenged**?

**If so, join us as a Project Controller and you’ll join one of the most exciting and ambitious projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.**

**The Opportunity...**

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, oversees the design (basic design) and the realisation (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects.

EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI and CI-BOP buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As a Project Controller you will be collaborating closely with delivery managers to develop and monitor robust cost estimations throughout the delivery phase, effectively managing risks, opportunities, and project timelines. You’ll be assisting in the preparation of reporting and delivery governance meetings and will play a vital role in providing CI-BOP managers with a comprehensive overview of the project's status, helping to ensure informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.

**Pay, benefits and culture**

Alongside a salary from £55,000, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle, and the opportunity to earn bonus.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Estimating, forecasting, and reporting project budgets against actuals and work performed on both annual and monthly cycles.
- Assessing budget requirements for additional work requested by the client and ensure accurate cost estimation.
- Producing performance reports, conducting analysis, and automating key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance project delivery and visibility.
- Analysing activity levels within the CI-BOP team to forecast future workload for effective workforce planning.
- Coordinating and facilitating risks and opportunities management to mitigate project risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Updating, analysing, and reporting on project schedules to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitoring the delivery of engineering activities and identify areas for improvement or optimisation.
- Coordinating closely with document control to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle**.**

**Who you are**

Your background may include some of the following:

- Master’s degree in engineering or project management.
- Prior experience in project control, including cost control, governance & reporting, project and risk management, planning/scheduling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple interfaces.
- Pragmatic approach and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
