We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and wants to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel kitchen environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed
**Skills**:
- Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food preparation techniques
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required
