Carnival UK has big plans for the future Already the market leader, CUK (which operates the P&O Cruises and Cunard Brands) will continue to grow as we add new ships to the fleet and further transform the industry by making cruising a mainstream holidayfor UK guests. This position of Technology Architecture Director will be a visible and vital role within our Technology team.

You will be accountable for the Solutions, Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams and the relevant technology roadmaps, with an ambition to become more dynamic, partnering more closely with the business units.

There is also a need to deliver beyond the local Carnival UK operating businesses, ensuring greater collaboration with the other brands and global technology functions. The architecture team also needs to play a critical role in helping business teams identifynew opportunities to achieve outcomes and add them to the business plan.

The role will manage the Architecture team which is responsible for the definition and ongoing management of reference architecture - across business, system, information, and infrastructure architecture.

The Architectural team is also responsible for defining the high-level solution architecture and the governance and assurance of supplier deliverables and solutions for projects and programmes. All will ensure fit to the reference architecture and technologyroad maps. The role will provide essential leadership to combine these and develop thoughtful, customer-focused innovative solutions.

You will be resilient and flexible, staying focused and composed in stressful situations. It’s important that you are a strategic thinker, can see the big picture and are able to define, evaluating and making recommendations for new technologies, platforms,and infrastructure in response to business needs whilst executing strategies to sustain competitive advantage.

You will be required to demonstrable leadership experience working in a variety of architecture roles whilst having financial accountability.

Being a Leader at Carnival UK, it is vital to provide direction through change and create a positive and motivating working environment, knowing what motivates different people and aligning work accordingly.
