**Simon Acres Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a forward thinking established company based in Yorkshire, to find a Payroll Coordinator.**

**Salary**: Paying £20,000 (£28,000 pro-rata)

**Annual Leave**: 32 Days incl. Bank Holidays & Christmas Shutdown

**Working Hours**:25 hours per week (over 5 days)

**The Role**:

- Processing payroll and pension data on a monthly basis
- Bringing payroll fully in-hours to remove the external support
- Ensuring that all shift pattern movements are accurately recorded within the relevant month’s payroll
- Maintaining the HR Information System for payroll related information
- Inputting new starters/leavers/changes onto the system and other changes as required
- Submitting pension contribution payments via Aviva Technology
- Re-enrolling pension on the anniversary of the staging date, every three years
- Submitting P46 (cars) for new starters and in year changes and P60 review and distribution
- Processing and calculating the P11d, making the process significantly more efficient
- Working closely with other departments re company cars and raising the understanding of the benefit-in-kind process
- Maintaining system records as necessary including changing shift patterns - responding to queries on timesheet anomalies (missed clockings, holidays, etc.)
- Updating employee pay rates as and when required and updating fire roll call points for employees changing work areas
- Supporting the HR Advisor in providing training to new employees at induction on the use of the Self-Service system
- Responding to general queries and requests from line managers / employees on payroll related matters
- Responsible for the accurate processing of payroll and pension information and for other payroll related data within the business
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in payroll processing
- Experience of inhouse payroll (desirable)
- Previous payroll experience using a computerised system and T&A systems
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a calm and diplomatic manner, maintaining strict confidentiality
- Possess strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work effectively at all levels of the business
- Experience of collating statistics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
