We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
**Our Home - Kirkdale House**
We are all independent in our own ways here at Kirkdale.
We all require support in lots of different ways, such as 1:1’s, shopping calls, domestic calls, meds calls, drop off/pick up to day services, cuppa and a chat, accessing the community for activities etc.
**What is important to us**
We are proud of ourselves here at Kirkdale for so many things. We are also proud of our achievements in life and how far we have come to live independently in supported living.
We all enjoy different activities, such as going to the gym, arts and crafts, football, attending football matches, jujitsu, dancing, acting, singing, going to discos/karaoke, spending time with friends and families.
**Our Home**
We live in a large, supported living accommodation which is all one level, apart from the managers office which is up a set of stairs. Our flats are on the ground floor in different zones. We have a large garden that goes right around the outer building, and it is lovely for walks around. We have a patch of garden that we like to work on in the summertime.
We have a large shared communal area, we have a TV in here where we listen to music and watch movies on our comfortable sofas. The doors leading from the communal area to our communal garden space has a hut and a large area where we have BBQs in the summer, and it has benches which is therapeutic when needing some time alone.
**Your values**:
Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:
- Patience
- Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Honesty
- Determination
- A problem solver
- Resilience
**A Place I belong**
Here at Community Integrated Care we aim to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive employer, where all colleagues feel they belong. We want to an organisation that is truly fair and equal to all - where individual diversity is valued, unique characteristics celebrated and everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work.
By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.
We have a really clear plan to achieve this called A Place I Belong. This publ
