We are looking for someone who believes in the Citizens Advice mission and is looking for a new opportunity to have a positive impact on the local community. This project is funded by Wisbech Foodbank. Citizens Advice Rural Cambs (CARC) is working in partnership with them to tackle underlying causes of poverty by providing advice, casework and support for people accessing foodbanks.

Our CARC Assessor will provide intensive support, and make a real difference to the lives of people accessing foodbanks - successfully reducing their need for foodbank support and developing resilience in their lives. The post-holder will be multi lingual, (English and Eastern European languages) and work in the Wisbech Foodbank and from CARC offices.

Following training, you will be able to provide information, advice and support on a wide range of issues such as benefits, housing, employment, family and immigration. Citizens Advice Rural Cambs is a local charity serving at the heart of our community, covering Fenland and Huntingdonshire, entirely funded by grants and donations, and we are a member of national Citizens Advice. Citizens Advice Rural Cambs values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
