Resource Planner

Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local expertise.

We work in a fast paced business and BAU is always the priority, but as our industry evolves, we want to maintain our status as a technology leader and continue to push the limits. As part of this growth we are seeking a Resource Planner to work alongside our finance and operations divisions, to ensure we have the right people in all the right places. This role will be crucial in the success of future client onboarding and will work closely with business development managers to ensure a future thinking and cohesive approach.

The Resource Planner will have a history of success with management information, flexible modelling and working closely with all stakeholders. The focus will be to ensure that each region is equipped to manage seasonal peaks and troughs, regional market variations, project volumes and client onboarding.

You will engage with field management and recruitment functions to enhance your awareness of resource issues, to better understand the changing requirements of the industry, our business and its clients. You will seek out solutions to short term challenges, whilst ensuring managers recognise trends and act accordingly.

You will ensure that teams are managed efficiently and effectively to optimise use of resources across business functions, whilst achieving client delivery targets. Producing periodic projection plans, which will bring together active, forecast and planned resource to ensure the Senior Management Team are aware of best
- and worst-case scenarios.

Responsibilitiies
- Guide on the need for regional and departmental resources
- Work with business development team to create a “model for all” approach to tender process
- Manage long term and short notice reductions to maintain regional service levels, continually revising projections to ensure client demand is met
- Conduct supply and demand analysis, using appropriate techniques and tools, interpreting the outcomes, preparing reports, and providing solutions to facilitate business decision making
- Work with field operations to create a fit for purpose holiday management system that ensures regional availability thresholds are maintained
- In conjunction with the Operations Director and Head of Recruitment, develop robust plans to overcome known operational challenges to maximise delivery of client SLAs
