The Lotus Maternal Therapeutic Outreach Service launched in June 2021 as a pilot site chosen to develop and trial a Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS) as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.

As a service, the Lotus team aims to embody a trauma-informed care ethos and as such, the team includes Clinical Psychologists, Peer Support Workers and Specialist Midwives and offers specialist assessment and psychological interventions to women and birthing people who have experienced moderate to severe or complex mental health difficulties directly related to their birth experience.

There are several posts available, each working in collaboration with local Acute Hospitals: NNUH, JPUH and QEH.

If you’re an enthusiastic, person centred, registered Midwife we would love to hear from you
