The Avoca Hotel Newcastle are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter on a part time basis, preferably with experience. Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis, be hardworking and able to meet the physical demands of the role and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
- Assist with food preparation and food service as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
- Dispose of trash and recycling properly
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist cooks and chefs with various tasks as required

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a catering setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus

Note: This position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-25 per week

**Salary**: £7.69-£10.74 per hour
