Front-end Developer, Remote however loctation is near Maidenhead.

Our client is looking for an experienced and talented Front-end Developer to join the in-house Tech Team. You will help deliver and shape the market-leading online experience. As a front-end developer, you’ll be able to turn designs into smooth, performant,and well-optimised code. With a keen eye for detail, solid best practices and methodologies, and the space to leverage your expertise and coding skills, you’ll be a key member in delivering high quality software through the UI layer. You will work closelywith the Creative and Software Engineering teams throughout projects, with your work visible to and impacting hundreds of thousands of customers every day.

Responsibilities
- Ability to turn designs into highly functional products.
- A passion for creating great user experiences.
- A focus on web performance - understanding how to measure and improve core web vitals.
- Experience with migrating front-end stack to more modern practices. They are looking to move the existing monolith app to a more microservice environment, using React (next.js) as the front-end layer.
- Working with the creative team to produce and maintain a brand-design system to accelerate further developments.
- Keep yourself updated with the latest industry trends and standards.

Requirements (skills, software, education)

? Expert in the core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

? Modern JS frameworks (next.js), React (especially hydration and optimising for SEO)

? Semantic HTML5 and good knowledge of SASS / CSS3.

? Best practices for building pipelines; Github & Vercel.

? Comprehensive knowledge of using APIs; REST & GraphQL.

? Experience with a design system (ie Storybook).

? Introducing testing to the front-end layer, with visual regression testing

? 5+ years experience and proven track record
