Quality Auditor in Food Manufacturing

Factory based, hands on role working in a chilled factory environment for periods of time. By way of observation, inspection and monitoring, ensure that the controls related to product safety, quality and legality are, at all times, in place and that the supporting due diligence documentation has been satisfactorily completed.

Establish, review, modify and audit systems related to food safety and quality and liaise with the operational departments to ensure compliance.

Must haves:

- drive and enthusiasm in all aspects of the technical role.
- be able to work effectively within a team on own initiative to ensure all schedules tasks are completed.
- be able to generate procedures, graphs, reports and presentations (Word & Excel packages).
- a flexible approach to the role and hours required as dictated by the business needs.
- be an effective communicator (written and oral) at all levels of management, production operatives and with both internal and external customers.

Preferred: Be able to think of your fees, assess the severity of potential quality issues and suggest immediate corrective action.

Role Accountabilities:

- Conduct audits against GMP, Fabric, Glass/Hard plastic, Systems, CCP, Allergens and Hygiene as per schedule. Complete full reports. If a food safety issue is detected, production may be stopped. Raise non conformances when required, review corrective action once implemented as effective.
- Ensure metal detector failsafe checks are conducted as per produce. Conduct daily and weekly verifications of scales and probes as required.
- Conduct monthly GMP audits. Standard of audit consistent with the standard of BRC and STS audits.
- Trending and analysing of daily task results.
- Conduct vertical and horizontal traceability exercises.
- ensure temperature probes and weighing equipment is functioning within acceptable calibration limits.
- Conduct of program of swabbing.
- Conduct CCVP competency checks on staff across site
