The Directors are seeking to appoint an SEN Coordinator at Reffley Academy who shares our vision of outstanding outcomes and progress for all pupils within a caring and supportive environment.

We are expanding our Trust to incorporate a Key Stage 1 and a Key Stage 2 Social, Emotional and Mental Health Specialist Resource Base at Reffley Academy. This expansion gives us an exciting opportunity to further our work with children with special educational needs.

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Is an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with SEN.
- Can work closely with the headteacher and other senior colleagues to manage SEN provision within the school and provide support for other teachers.
- Has completed the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), or will achieve this qualification after appointment.
- Is able to oversee the implementation of the school’s SEN strategy and policy.
- Will carry out assessments of pupils with SEN to identify needs and monitor progress - including observations in the classroom and meeting with teachers and parents.
- Will work with teachers, school leadership team, parents and relevant external agencies to develop, implement and monitor individual support/learning plans.
- Can make referrals and liaise with professionals outside of the school.
- Is able to provide regular updates on pupil progress through written reports and meetings with parents.
- Will work with teachers to develop schemes of work and learning programmes for pupils with SEN.
