Remote, United Kingdom Woodland Trust Full time

**ABOUT US**
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a world where trees and woods thrive for people and nature. The Trust engages and inspires people to make a difference tackling the nature and climate crisis helping protect, restore and create our vital woods and trees.

**THE ROLE**
The Woodland Outreach Adviser will deliver woodland conservation outcomes from woodland establishment and trees in farmed landscapes (agroforestry), to ancient woodland management and restoration on land outside the Trust’s own estate; contributing to the Trust’s objective of landscape scale ecological change. This will be achieved through providing appropriate advice and support to landowners and managers, managing contractors and consultants, and development and delivery of landscape scale projects and partnerships with other organisations.

The role will provide advice on the establishment of trees, hedges and woodlands to farmers and landowners in South West England (primarily Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire). This advice will lead to the post holder supporting farmers and landowners into the delivery of tree and hedge establishment schemes on the ground, achieving significant and notable change at site and landscape level.

**THE CANDIDATE**
You will have significant experience of woodland and hedgerow creation, both on the ground and advising others, alongside a good working knowledge of land management practices. An understanding of farming and agroforestry would also be beneficial.

You will be results driven and innovative, with experience of managing projects and budgets and be able to deliver through others including partners, contractors, and professional consultants.

**WHAT TO EXPECT BY JOINING A TEAM AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE**
There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Joining the team you will be making your contribution to tackling the nature and climate crisis. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance, good holiday allowance and the opportunity to work flexibly from home.

**OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
