Valkyrie Support Services are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified Engineering Tutor to join our growing team, supporting Apprentices to gain new skills, knowledge and confidence alongside their qualifications.

Valkyrie Support Services are an Ofsted Good provider, utilising their team of industry experts to deliver high-quality training in engineering and manufacturing, food production, team leading and management to Apprentices across the country.

**Job description**

**Main Duties**
- Teach, guide and support Engineering Apprentices working towards Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Engineering
- Manage learner progress in relation to the Apprenticeship and any Functional Skills to ensure learners complete in a timely manner
- Provide remote, and face to face where required, learning support and motivate learners in their studies
- Complete workplans with each learner to document progress made and the learner journey
- Liaise with the Training Manager and Faculty Lead in the identification, diagnosis and support of learners with additional learning support needs
- Undertake other specified duties including course/resource development, tutorial support and associated administrative tasks
- Plan and produce schemes of work and lesson plans (showing methods of delivery)
- Prepare and use suitable teaching and learning materials which take into account differentiation and individual learning styles
- Use a range of appropriate delivery methodologies
- Maintain accurate records as required for examinations, all assessed work and report on learner progress when required
- To provide relevant statistical data to the Management Team
- Follow all agreed Quality Assurance Systems and Risk Management systems and comply with all policies and procedures e.g. Safeguarding and Prevent, Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity and Equal Opportunities and ensure that these policies are followed
- Undertake appropriate staff development activities that support personal development, ensuring your own teaching practice conforms with standards
- Plan, prepare and co-ordinate External Quality Assurance visits as required by the Awarding Body

**Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Strong, varied occupational competence in Engineering disciplines, including mechanical and/or electrical
- A minimum GCSE Grade C/Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics
- Ability to embrace and develop practical and innovative delivery models for Engineering qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Full, current driving licence
- Car owner, with a willingness to use for Valkyrie business as required (mileage allowance payable)

**Desired Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Experience with the Maintenance of Plant and Equipment
- Relevant teaching/assessing qualification, e.g. Level 3 CAVA/A1, Level 3 AET
- Experience of delivering Engineering Apprenticeship standards
- Experience of providing remote support to learners using a range of delivery methods, including the use of technology e.g. Zoom or Microsoft Teams
