We're looking for a Tunnels Maintenance Apprentice to join our Kier Transportation team based in Hindhead, Surrey, working towards a Level 4 apprenticeship in Construction Site Supervision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
**Location**:Hindhead, Surrey (Role based from Hindhead Tunnel, GU8 5LF)
**Contract**: Permanent, Full Time
**Salary**: £16,000 per annum
**How does an apprenticeship work?**
As a Tunnels Maintenance Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 4 apprenticeship in Construction Site Supervision, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Kier Transportation team to support in keeping over 27,000km of roads flowing across the UK.
Your day to day will include:
- Assisting the tunnel supervisor with the maintenance of Hindhead tunnel
- Supporting with the programming of works for the tunnel
- Attending client and supply chain meetings
- Supervising minor works that are being carried out in the tunnel
**What are we looking for?**
The role of **Tunnels Maintenance Apprentice **is great for you if:
- Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (Including Maths, English and a Science) or equivalent Level 2 or 3 qualifications
- Proficient with IT software, including Microsoft Office
- Able to work collaboratively in a team, proactive with good time management skills
