**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We're looking for a Senior VT Guarantee to join our growing team as part of our ongoing expansion. The opportunity to work on a range of exciting OBs including Football, Motorsport, Boxing, Snooker, Pool, Cycling, Political debate shows, and many others

With 8 large OB trucks, plus many smaller facilities and a wide range of work there is an opportunity to form a flexible role around your interests and skills.

Based in the Midlands, Cloudbass has employment models for staff not based locally to still fully participate in onsite and base work.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Senior VT Guarantee Engineer’s duties will primarily be on location across the UK and at our base near the lovely Peak District in Ripley with occasional overseas trips as necessary.

When onsite the Senior VT Guarantee is expected to be customer friendly with the client and balance the technical rig with managing the junior members of staff.

Offsite preparation and maintenance at our base are a requirement and should be managed accordingly to achieve a successful job onsite. Managing the freelance and junior engineers along with training and delegating tasks are an essential ability.

Expected to achieve high levels of ability in the maintenance, alignment, modification and operation of the wide range of broadcast equipment and systems deployed in our trucks and any other Cloudbass business environments. The Guarantee is required to work at the highest level of technical complexity under programme and/or operational pressures.

Superb attention to detail, a positive and sociable approach is essential.

**MAIN DUTIES**
- VT Guarantee any of our small to large trucks and fly-aways.
- Work closely and take direction from the Unit Managers, including suggesting ways to work more effectively.
- Maintenance and operation of equipment used in OB trucks, and fly-aways.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their staff while maintaining a professional attitude with colleagues and freelancers.
- Knowledge of EVS, SimplyLive, and Edit systems, coupled with an interest and desire to learn about emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of the TCP/IP address system including multicast, VLANS etc..
- Devise and support the development of innovative solutions.
- Work collaboratively with production teams and colleagues to ensure that operational and production needs are efficiently met.
- Ensure that technical faults are cleared, or alternative ways of meeting requirements are identified and implemented with the minimum loss of time.
- Knowledge of routers and OB control systems.
- Involvement with new build and refurbishment projects.
- Knowledge of the principles of safety at work as applied in the Television OB sector.

- EVS Servers, both Operting and setup.
- Axon Cerebrum Control System, Evertz Magnum Server Control System
- EQX Hybrid Routers
- VIP / MVP Multiviewer systems
