**Job description**:
Your role will be Associate Commercial Practitioner within the Document Management Team, Service Delivery Category.

The role’s overriding responsibility is to manage commercial activity across the category and across the full commercial lifecycle, including working with internal stakeholders to determine commercial strategies for future delivery of services, supporting procurement activities and undertaking contract management, supplier performance and relationship management.

We are seeking an aspiring commercial professional who is looking to develop their career; or a capable and enthusiastic individual with relevant transferable skills, looking to build a career in a commercial environment.

We are looking for a driven, dynamic and proactive individual with experience of building strong positive working relationships.

You will be able to identify problems, build creative solutions, improve ways of working and ensure commercially sound outcomes.

**Person specification**:
Your role will be supporting the procurement or contract management of a small portfolio of contracts throughout the commercial lifecycle. Full training will be provided on all aspects of commercial activity. The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not restricted to:
**Contract Management**
- Supporting the development, review and execution of contracts including supporting negotiation where required.
- Commercial management of related suppliers including analysis of contract performance information.
- Be comfortable dealing with complex contract and procurement documents.

**Commercial advice**
- Provide commercial advice to a wide range of stakeholders to support colleagues with market engagement, sourcing, tendering and a wide range of contract management and/or procurement activities.
- Stakeholder Management / Engagement / Communication.
- Working with stakeholders at all levels (internal and external) to develop strategy and tactics for commercial category initiatives.
- Create positive supplier relationships, encouraging innovation, creation of “value add” solutions, and a strong customer service ethic.
- Supporting the procurement process.
- Producing, reviewing and advising on governance documents and processes such as papers for Commercial Board, Programme Board, gated project submissions etc.

**Leadership**
- Play an active part in supporting Commercial Directorate values and culture.

**Project Management**
- Project manage necessary work streams and initiatives to ensure timely delivery of objectives, ensuring all necessary process, including formal stakeholder engagement and approval are completed.

- Provide evidence to show where you have worked on projects, which could include where you have worked on strategies, planning activity, supplier management and risk management.
- Demonstrate how you have analysed and understood key management information and performance data to inform decision making.
