Which is why we are excited to announce a new opportunity for an **Operational Security Team Leader **to join our Security and Resilience Team based at Frankley (Birmingham).

**EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW**

In the role of **Operational Security Team Leader,** you will be responsible for shaping and developing the **front-end Operational Security** for Severn Trent & Hafren Dyfrdwy through the **Alarm Receiving Centre** and **Access Control** functions.

You will be accountable for both security access to our sites and 24/7 security response across our estate.

In this role, you will also be continually reviewing, testing and developing our processes and procedures to provide effective responses to security incidents across a wide range of Critical National Infrastructure sites.

As a leader within Severn Trent you will support, develop and coach a team of both daytime and shift based colleagues all operating in the provision of frontline operational security.

This is a key role in defining and delivering the protective security strategy, ensuring that as a team we deliver in a way that manages all current and emerging security risks.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**

In order to be successful in this role it is expected that you will have proven leadership experience of a diverse teams with a passion for driving engagement, alignment and operational efficiencies.

You will need strong IT skills alongside the ability and passion to develop a broad understanding of security and associated systems.

In this role you will need to bring all of your communication skills to support working across a diverse team and varied network of internal and external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers including the emergency services and regulatory bodies.

- May be required to participate in standby rota
- EUSR Water Hygiene Blue Card required
- Full valid UK driving license (preferred)
