Press Operator

**Newsquest (Dorset) is part of the largest regional newspaper publisher, with an expanding portfolio of newspapers, websites, and magazines**:
We are recruiting a **Press Operator** to work in a busy newspaper printing department. It is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills and become a valued member of a positive team of people.

The Role
- Operating fork trucks and handling equipment to load and unload lorries.
- Operating reel pasting equipment and managing the reel store.
- Operating mailroom stacking, strapping and palletising equipment.
- Supporting printing staff to plate and de-plate the press.
- Carry out a range of maintenance and cleaning duties.

This role necessitates a high degree of physical activity and therefore will require a reasonable level of fitness.

Starting Salary: £24,000

33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

The successful applicant will be required to work either a day shift, Monday to Thursday or an evening shift, Sunday to Wednesday.

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Weymouth, DT4 9XD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
