The Deputy SENCO - Qualified Teacher, will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of
the main school Academy SEND provision, under the leadership and supervision of the Director of
Inclusion, the SENCO and in liaison with Inclusion Resource Manager.
The post involves coordinating and delivering support and interventions for pupils with a range of
special educational needs and disabilities, in particular pupils with autism and social emotional and
mental health difficulties (including ADHD, attachment issues, anxiety). In addition to the postholders
main school teaching commitment, this post will involve the planning, teaching and preparation of
lessons, across a range of curriculum areas, in small groups within our Resource Provision. This role
will also involve work with parents/carers and outside agencies, to ensure that our provision is always
of the highest quality.
