Audit Trainee

Taylor Hawkes are currently recruiting for an Audit Trainee for a leading Top 10 firm for one of their offices based in Southampton. The firm are one of the world’s largest networks of audit, tax and consultancy firms with over 150 Partners based in theUK. They have won numerous awards including; Network of the Year, Corporate Advice Firm of the Year, Best Companies to Work for and Audit Advisory Firm of the Year.

The role would sit within the firm’s prestigious audit department and would play an important role in helping deliver and develop the services they offer. It’s a fantastic chance for an AAT qualified trainee, with audit experience, to develop on a leadingACA training contract within one of the worlds most reputable firms.

You will work with an impressive portfolio of clients including some of the countries largest companies from industries including; property, manufacturing, sports clubs, construction.

**The role will undertake the following duties**:

- To be a key part of assurance teams undertaking assignments, including opportunities to lead the onsite element of the work.
- To ensure that each assignment is undertaken in accordance with the pre-assignment instructions, and to carry out all aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
- To ensure assurance quality always, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with the firm’s and the profession’s standards to ensure internal and external quality assurance requirements are met on all assignments.
- To communicate any problems in complying with these instructions, or any contentious issues identified, to the assignment manager immediately, identifying and commenting upon the possible solutions.
- To provide adequate briefing, supervision, and "on the job" training for less experienced members of staff, whether as lead supervisor or as part of a team.
- To act as day to day point of contact for the client during the onsite work and to respond to client queries on a timely basis at other times during the assurance process, practising the principles of excellent client service always.
