Despatch Operative

**Salary: £12 per hour, rising to £12.55 **(after completion of training or 3 month probationary period) plus 10% night shift rate for the full shift.

**About the role**

We are looking for a Despatch Operative to join our team.

This is a full-time role working a night shift from **6pm to 6am, 4 on 4 off.**

Key Duties & responsibilities:

- Assembling and picking stock safely and securely for Customer Orders
- Keeping the workplace neat and tidy adopting a “clean as you go policy”
- Loading and unloading trailers with pallets and cages of stock
- Maintaining stock rotation in date order
- Complying with Trewithen food standards
- Complying with all Trewithen Procedures
- Achieving picking and loading KPIs
- Following Trewithen Dairy’s Health and Well-Being Policy and all company procedures or guidelines which assist this.
- Following Trewithen Dairy’s Food Safety and Quality Policy and all company procedures or guidelines which assist this.

About you

Personal requirements:

- Good communication skills
- Excellent level of English - both written and verbal required
- Be able to work as part of a team but also work on own initiative
- A flexible can-do attitude
- Good literacy and numeracy
- Be able to cope with the physical aspects of the role
- Be able to work for a long period in a chilled environment
