**CREDIT OFFICER**

Weatherbys Bank are on the lookout for a Credit Officer to join us on a full time, permanent basis. You will assist the Head of Credit with assessment, evaluation and the progression of Credit Proposals submitted by Private Bankers and ensure they are in line with documented Credit Policy, with an aim to support growth of the lending book. Additionally, you will assist the Head of Credit in all aspects of the credit function this will include administration, record keeping and the monitoring and provision of regular/ ad hoc reports.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum DOE. In addition, you will receive 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays). **WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE**
- Provide both written and verbal feedback to Private Bankers on credit proposals and monitor any additional information required to assist with the progression of these
- Circulate final credit proposals to credit committee members and monitor responses
- Detail any additional conditionality’s specified by Credit Committee/ Directors onto the electronic copy of the original Credit Proposal. Maintaining a diary of credit related activities, including updates on Open Bridge situations, receipt of reports, update monitoring records and highlight any concerning situations to the Head of Credit
- Prepare monthly report for ALCO Monitor various monthly reports from PB’s and prepare commentary for insertion into ALCO report
- Produce monthly reviews of bad debt provisions list in advance for the Head of Credit
- Monitor utilisation of reduced ROCE funding ‘pots’, maintaining records of availability
- Assist in providing residential security information to Savills to enable the benchmarking of each property value on a quarterly basis. Assist with information required by Internal/ External Auditors
- Liaise with external lawyers, as required, regarding credit related legal issues that arise. Assist, as directed by the HOC, in undertaking credit related internal audit checks of approved/ drawn facilities

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Excellent PC skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good understanding, analysis and interpretation of financial accounts and interest in financial markets
- Ability to make sound judgements
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- General knowledge of issues affecting the bank’s business, in particular lending related
- Ability to assess and manage credit competently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
- Willingness to take personal responsibility for own actions and to seek a second opinion when appropriate
