_**Main Purpose/Function of Job**_

To plan, organise and operationally deliver a busy cleaning operation based within a popular, competitive retail attraction and meet all financial, cleaning and Health & Safety KPIs.
- **Main Duties/Tasks**_
- To work under the supervision of the Urban Playground General Manager & Assistant General Manager.
- To work alongside the other cleaning supervisor.
- Understand and learn the role of the other section managers to gain a broad understanding of your management peers.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cleaning remit including management of the Clean Teams.
- Undertake 1:1 evaluations and provide ongoing feedback in a constructive and professional manner to improve staff performance.
- Maintain consistent high standard of the cleaning operation, adherence to all checklists and procedures, and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Ensure the clean team maintains adequate stock levels for chemicals and consumables and minimises wastage.
- Set goals for operational improvements and consider innovative changes to existing procedures, systems and policies to maximise efficiencies and optimize standards.
- To effectively procure cleaning chemicals, consumables and equipment to achieve best value and quality.
- Ensure written policies and processes are implemented, giving feedback on what works operationally to improve cleaning operations every day.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance in a cleaning context.
- Direct the employee assessment process both formally and informally, ensuring staff understand what is expected of them.
- Prepare regular reports for the General Manager.
- Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations and internal venue rules.
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
- To oversee and ensure all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures are effectively managed and monitored for the whole venue.
- To undertake regular training with venue staff to ensure high standards of cleaning are achieved and that the Health & Safety / COSHH requirements are maintained.
- To oversee the management of the back of house pot wash / glass wash areas and liaise with the Bar Manager and Kitchen Manager to ensure the provision meets the demands and needs of all front of house areas.
- Liaise regularly, directly and indirectly with senior UP Directors, Senior Management and employees and management of the Arndale Centre.
