**Job Description**:

- Location: Croydon
- Receptionist
- To act as the first point of call to all patients/customers
- Direct patients to the appropriate consultation room within the Primary Care Centre
- To ensure that excellent customer care is being delivered at all times
- Keep reception clean, tidy and well stocked at all times.
- Setting up consulting rooms each shift - turning on computers, checking couch roll etc
- Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls, passing them onto the appropriate person. If necessary, take messages recording full and accurate details and ensuring these are passed onto the relevant members of staff promptly.
- Deal with daily post (incoming and outgoing).
- Receiving and checking deliveries.
- Ordering: this may be stationery and office supplies, consumables or medical/clinical supplies ordered under the supervision of one of the Nursing staff
- Laminating and photocopying when required.
- Straightening/tidying the waiting room at the end of the day
- To maintain and develop effective communication across the team
- Basic secretarial and general office duties as may be required from time to time.
- Driver
- Ensure Medical Equipment are checked/cleaned and present, Drug cases are in the car & returned to designated storage at the end of the shift.
- Check car for road worthiness and record vehicle checks in visiting log, Ensure the in car has adequate printer paper & the car has adequate fuel
- Ensure Fuel receipts have correct Registration and are filed
- Log information in Driver visiting log.
- Ensure all Patient Confidential paperwork is removed from the visiting car & shredded (Adastra case notes, Hospital Admission forms etc)
- Carry out courtesy calls to patient to give update whilst awaiting the doctor to arrive giving an ETA and recording notes on the Adastra call.
- Disposal of Clinical waste bag in the clinical waste bin.
- Drive & navigate vehicle with the Doctor to / from patients’ residence
- Communicate with Shift Coordinator as your Manager whilst on duty
- Varied basic paperwork (as advised by Managers)
- Hand out Patient Surveys
- Basic car maintenance i.e., fitting light bulbs, topping up screen washer, checking engine oil noting faults in visiting log & report to Line manager.
- Ensure Sat Nav, Tough books are locked & car keys and Mobile phone are returned along with the driver box to the drivers cupboard at the end of the shift.
- Clinical Governance, Health & Safety & Complaint Management:

- To support the Service Manager and the team in Health and Safety issues and adhere to the company H&S policy
- To support the Registered Manager in CQC compliance for the service
- Reporting any building or maintenance issues to the Practice Manager
- To ensure data protection and confidentiality is maintained at all times
- To liaise with the Service Manager regarding any incidents or complaints and follow any action as directed.
- Ensure Policies/Procedures are in place and staff are aware of their location

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Person Specification - Driver- Qualifications- Manual UK Driving Licence for over 2 years
- No more than 3 points (dependable on the driving offence)- Experience- Experience of working with the general public.
