**The role**

The Training officer is to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks within the business. Help with the on-going, long-term development of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Helping line managers, Learning & Development Business Partners and other trainers solve specific training issues, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Be able to produce detailed and high level Learning Needs Analysis and Approach
- Design and run new starter inductions, mandatory training, and project learning interventions
- Be able to Storyboard and create interactive e-learning solutions
- Manage the LMS System
- Record training delivered
- Ensure that all regulatory training requirements are met in the department
- Evaluate training and development interventions, amending and revising programmes as necessary, to adapt to changes in processes and the work environment
- To communicate with the relevant department managers/agents to highlight issues that may have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided or affect the businesses reputation.
- To undertake other such duties related to the work and appropriate to the post, as directed by the Learning & Development Manager
- To support the Learning & Development Manager and substitute in their absence.
- To ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to including the protection of client data
- To build bespoke Learning & Development initiatives for the various business functions across the wider group.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Educated to at least GCSE level
- Preferably have a training qualification at level 3

**Essential Skills**
- Understanding of the Learning Life Cycle and Change Process
- Experience of working in Learning & Development including learning product creation and facilitation skills for at least 2 years
- Experience of delivering training through in a variety of situations i.e. coaching, buddying, facilitation, e-learning
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Experience in a training or management role where you have provided training to groups of individuals
- Experience of working within a contact centre environment
- Good I.T skills and familiar with Powerpoint, Teams, e-learning software and an LMS system
- Be able to engage and coach individuals on a 121 basis and provide coaching in a manner that will empower the individual to understand the decision-making process
- Experience identifying training needs and designing training to suit individual and group requirements
- An excellent communicator, able to provide constructive written and verbal feedback
- Can plan and prioritise to consistently achieve targets
- Flexible and adaptable, able to embrace and champion change at short notice
- Able to prepare and deliver learning interventions to small and large groups

**Desirable skills**
- Insurance Based Qualification (Cert CII etc) desirable
- Experience of working within the motor vehicle insurance industry

**Other Duties**
- To work positively and inclusively with all colleagues, customers and business
