**Key Accountabilities and Measures Required for The Assistant Technologist Role**
- Independently, or supporting departmental technologist as appropriate, to deliver clear specifications on Design Tech packs to include blocks fit, fabric quality, made well standards, construction & components.
- Technical responsibility for a range/department as well as support to the wider technical team
- Working with the fit/digital development & design teams in upfront product development, creating and using the block library and identifying seasonal patterns.
- Maintain the business raw material sourcing strategy within the department,
- Perform product benchmarking on behalf of the Technologist/department and keep informed of key trends and industry developments.
- Work alongside the departmental technologist to deliver innovation, driving commercial customer focused benefit in line with Design and Product strategy and innovation strategy.
- Support the departmental technologist to deliver the business Plan A requirements with buying and design, in line with business strategy
- Support the departmental technologist to deliver the business digital development strategy working with UK and SO teams & suppliers
- Assist the departmental technologist to manage adherence to product safety, compliance and ethical standards in line with legislation and corporate policy
- Monitor the voice of our customer around Quality and Fit and build into ongoing product development strategy
- Ensure all technical deadlines are met in line with BU critical path and continually working to optimise Leadtime whilst maintaining product technical standards
- Contribute as an active member of the team to work within a commercially focused culture.

**Key skills**
- Technical knowledge of garment and fabric technology
- Ability to embrace change and strive to embed new process and ways of working.
- Computer literate
- Good organisational skills and an eye for detail
- Multitask orientated with the ability to work to deadlines to achieve the Buying critical path and with multiple stakeholders
- To be able to analyse data and drive insights to support strategic thinking
