**Project Overview**:In February 2024, Alchemy Arts launched its ‘Work Ready’ project, a 12 week project aimed at enhancing employability skills and reintegrating economically inactive Pakistani women in Cheetham Hill, equipping them with the confidence and skills to move closer to the labour market. The project actively worked towards breaking down barriers to employment which included lack of confidence, limited English language skills and low self esteem and supported participants in securing paid employment, volunteering opportunities and increased self confidence, self awareness and self worth. Following the success of phase 1, we are now delighted to be launching phase 2 of the programme and are seeking an engaging and skilled Work Ready Facilitator to lead and support a series of developmental workshops aimed at empowering South Asian women on their transformative learning journey towards career advancement. Working closely with the project coordinator and outreach worker, the facilitator will be instrumental in delivering sessions that enhance employability skills, digital literacy, and personal resilience. This role includes working with guest speakers and supporting culturally appropriate events, inc Careers Fair, site visits, and a Celebration Event for certificate presentation. The facilitator will also contribute to the creation of case studies highlighting participant journeys.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate the delivery of 12 employability themed sessions: ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and meets participants' needs.
- Liaise with the outreach and engagement worker to ensure the project is well communicated and attended
- Facilitate the creation of personalised action plans for each participant, focusing on career advancement.
- Keep a record of all attendees and complete an evaluation after each session.
- Enhance participants' digital literacy and employability skills through practical exercises and discussions.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience among participants.
- Coordinate with local businesses and organisations for site visits and guest speaker engagements.
- Support the logistics and execution of a careers fair and celebration event.
- Collaborate with the project team to document participant journeys through case studies and film media.
**Essential Criteria for this role**:(to be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following)
- Proven experience in facilitation or training, preferably with a focus on employability skills and adult education.
- Previous experience working with community groups, providing employability advice or guidance
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by South Asian women in the workforce and the ability to engage sensitively and effectively.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple components of the program simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, guest speakers, and community organisations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Experience in event planning and management
