What are we looking for ?

The primary responsibility of a Shop Assistant is to provide excellent customer service by ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience and find what they are looking for.

As a Shop Assistant you are responsible for greeting customers, providing assistance with product inquiries, and helping customers find and purchase items. They may also handle customer complaints or returns in a professional and courteous manner. Shop Assistants must have good communication skills and be able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

**These are the roles for you as Shop Assistant**:
Product Knowledge: You need to be knowledgeable about the products they are selling, including their features, pricing, and availability. They should be able to provide accurate information about products and help customers make informed purchasing decisions. Shop Assistants may also be responsible for stocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Sales Support: You will be trained to handle transactions, operate cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems, and handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately.

Inventory Management: You will be needed to assist with inventory management, which includes receiving, unpacking, and tagging merchandise, as well as monitoring and replenishing stock levels on the sales floor.

Store Operations: You will be performing various operational tasks, such as opening and closing the store, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and ensuring that store policies and procedures are followed. They may also assist with store merchandising, pricing, and signage.

Teamwork: You are often to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and assisting with tasks as needed. They may also work closely with other store personnel, such as Store Managers, Supervisors, and other Shop Assistants, to ensure smooth store operations and provide excellent customer service.

Overall, we are looking for someone who is willing to play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales and promotions, managing inventory, maintaining store operations, and contributing to the overall success of a retail store.

They should have good communication skills, be knowledgeable about the products they are selling, and be able to work well in a team environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: £9.00-£10.00 per hour
