**Estimator Bid Writer (Fire Protection)**

**Are you a talented Bid Writer/Estimator looking for your next challenge?**

**Responsibilities**:

- Write and submit bids for fire protection projects, including preparing and submitting proposals, pricing, and supporting documents as needed.
- Estimate the cost of projects based on the scope of work, required materials, and labourcosts.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure that all bid requirements are met.
- Conduct research on project specifications, including fire codes, regulations, and standards, to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors to ensure that we have access to the latest technologies and products.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including developing contingency plans and managing change orders.
- Review and analyseproject budgets to ensure that they are accurate and that we are meeting our financial goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritisetasks to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Assist with contract negotiations, including developing terms and conditions that protect our interests.
- Identifying industry tender opportunities, from research and analysis to relationship building and project management. By taking a strategic approach and focusing on delivering high-quality and competitive tenders.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator or bid writer in the fire protection industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and related codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other industry-specific software programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisationaland time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
