Junior Electrician

The Electrician will assist on the installation and testing of the electrical works of renewable energy systems, such as ground-source heat pumps, air-source heat pumps and Solar PV. The Electrician may also assist on service work including service repairs,fault finding, controls set up and commissioning.

**Junior ElectricianPosition Overview**

Key role:

- Assist on the installation and testing of the electrical works of a renewable energy system installation project.
- Work on service repairs, fault finding, controls set up and commissioning.
- Occasionally get involved with the groundworks and other stages of the renewable energy installation, to ensure the project is completed on time.
- Before going to site, liaise with the project manager to plan what equipment, tools parts and programme/time information is needed for a project's electrical installation.
- Ensure the project manager and relevant people are kept up to date with the installation progress and issues.
- Know when to escalate issues on site to the Project Manager, Field Technical Director and/or Operations Director.
- Work on a mixture of properties, from larger domestic manor house properties to higher-end commercial jobs.

**Junior ElectricianPosition Requirements**
- Driver's license
- no more than 3 points.
- Desire to learn about renewable energy systems.
- Trained and qualified at least to BS 7671 18th Edition.
- City and Guilds 2391, 2392 or 2394/5 advantageous
- City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
- AM2 assessment
- CSCS or ECS Card.

**Junior ElectricianPosition Remuneration**
- £20,000 - £28,000
- Generous holiday allowance with the office being shut between Christmas and New Year.
