**Who are we looking for and why work at Natural Power?**

We are looking for a graduate to join our Inverness-based team. During their one year within the Natural Power Consenting & Environment department, the Graduate will be based within the onshore ecology team, giving them experience of working on ‘live’ projects so they not only observe, but have responsibility to deliver too.

During their placement, the Graduate will learn what it is like to work in an independent consultancy, developing skills in survey methods and assessment and gaining experience on a wide range of renewable projects across different phases of the project lifecycle. They will be encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and grow their knowledge and skills.

We anticipate the skills developed during the placement will be:

- Mammal sign ID;
- Vegetation ID;
- Bird ID;
- Familiarity with survey methodologies;
- Principles of consultancy;
- Data management;
- Use of geospatial software; and
- Production of standard environmental report types.

The role would be part of the wider Onshore Ecology Team who are based at various locations in the UK and Ireland. We are a forward thinking, collaborative, dynamic and professional team who encourage individuals to maximise their potential and enable individuals to contribute to towards the success of the Consenting & Environment Department. This is an opportunity to contribute to renewables projects, and work with a wide range of specialists from within Natural Power.

This position would be based from our Inverness office, but may require travel to remote sites and overnight stays.
