Quest Search and Selection have partnered with a leading food procurement and supply chain management companies in the world, providing innovative solutions and services to a wide range of clients in the foodservice industry. They are looking for a skilled and experienced Buyer to join their Buying team.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Source and purchase dairy products for clients
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate prices and contracts
- Ensure that all products meet business quality standards
- Monitor market trends and keep up-to-date with industry developments
- Work closely with other members of the procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies
- Analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market trends and client needs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Provide regular reports on purchasing activity to management
**Key requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience in buying, procurement or purchasing
- Background in Food within Retail, Ecommerce or B2C
- Strong negotiating and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of market trends and industry developments
- Experience working with suppliers and managing contracts
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
