We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the East Suffolk Council's Building Maintenance Team as a LGV/Labourer.

You will be part of the Housing Maintenance Team assisting in the delivery of a repairs and maintenance service to the Council’s Housing stock a on behalf of private customers.

Your duties will be varied, requiring you to work both as part of a team and independently. However, duties will essentially be to drive our 7.5 Tonne tipper vehicle, picking up household waste from our empty properties and gardens. This is an active hands-on role. You may also be involved with the removal of fly-tipped items and other areas of the service with logístical support. Subject to the need of the service you may be asked to assist various teams in a labourer capacity. It is therefore essential to have an extremely flexible approach to all tasks and duties requested. All necessary training will be provided.

You will have previous experience of working in a building construction environment, have a sound knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.

You may be required to complete a practical and/or theory test as part of the selection process
