**Description**:
We’re looking for a **Senior HSE Adviser **with construction experience for a permanent staff role based in North Wales.

Our client considers living close to site essential. This is a daily site based position.

The individual will be proactive and lead by example, promoting the Company’s HSE standards on both existing production activities, future decommissioning and demolition and new construction activity as the site is repurposed for a major “green” incentive project.

The role will deliver HSE advice and promote zero harm through development and utilization of appropriate work practices, plans and procedures.

The individual will foster a positive HSE culture to ensure HSE compliance requirements are understood and met, and that risks are managed according to both legal requirements and the Company’s standards.

The individual will be able to effectively prioritise a diverse workload and self-manage delivery against competing deadlines.

**What does the job involve?**

**Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Provide all necessary HSE and technical support to both existing production activities and future decommissioning and most importantly construction activities.
- Act as an exceptional team player, supporting the workload of all other team members when required, in support of all activities.
- Participate in workplace activities to deliver excellent HSE management, including workplace risk assessments, incident investigations and risk management processes.
- Monitor/audit both the LB HSE management system/ procedural compliance and the client’s Management System Guidelines (MSG).
- Good working knowledge of LBA Offshore Safety Case, onshore COMAH report and related safety studies (QRA, FERA, HAZID, HAZOPs, LOPA/SIL).
- Deliver effective oversight of HSE aspects of contracted activities.
- Promoting the Company’s HSE culture in all behaviors and activities.
- Manage the efficient use of third party specialists where required.
- Supporting operational risk assessments.
- Support HSE bridging interfaces with external contracting organisations.
- Support emergency response plans and processes.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of HSE objectives and plans.
- Promote a risk-based approach to HSE management.
- Promote the Company’s Safety and Environmental Golden Rules and monitor compliance.
- Contribute to the achievement of all relevant HSE MBOs.
- Lead initiatives to promote both management commitment and employee involvement in HSE activities.
- Support the delivery of relevant HSE training.
- Support site HSE meetings and emergency exercises.
- Network with peers and external bodies to utilize best practices and lessons learnt.
- Participate in the IMT Emergency Response organisation. Close out all required actions in a timely manner.

**What skills and experience do you need?**

**Education & Professional Qualifications**:

- NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent qualification.( Construction)
- Relevant HSE management system auditor qualification.
- Willing to obtain BOSIET/FOET/other mandatory/regulatory qualification required for offshore working.
- Asbestos/noise/legionella/Radiation Protection Supervisor & NORM (preferred).
- CDM regulations competence (preferred).

**Required Experience and Technical Competencies **_(relevant experience and technical skills) _**:

- Significant oil and gas industry HSE experience within Operations/Projects/ **Construction **( preferred).Experience in **construction **other process industries such as chemicals or nuclear is an option.
- Excellent working knowledge of Regulatory oil and gas HSE requirements.
- Knowledge of UK oil and gas decommissioning compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of UK HSE compliance and permitting requirements.
- Experience in the provision of HSE training
- Excellent ability to multi task and deliver to tight deadlines in a reactive environment.
- Excellent ability to prioritise and self-manage workload, and to plan effectively.
- Excellent ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team, must be team oriented.
